A Message from Our Chair, Dr. Anjelita Cadena

We have had a year of growth

and new opportunities.  We have a new, larger, more centrally located office, bylaws, a structure that is publicized, leadership that is publicized, committee meetings that are publicized, and a financial process.

Above it all, we have dedicated volunteers!

We have worked together to move Denton County forward. We prevailed against the attempted redistricting because we joined with other organizations and interested people, meeting and discussing the issues and sharing information . We have been in the news more in this past year than in the previous years. We have up and coming leaders in the clubs, affiliated organizations, and within DCDP.

We grew from the challenges that came our way in these 12 months. I hope that the next year will be just as challenging.

To everyone who has been involved I say … THANK YOU.

Now … let’s take a deep breath and get ready for the upcoming election cycle. We need more volunteers to help with our committees and in the office.  Call us at 469-771-2155 or email us at dcdpstaff@gmail.com. Our candidates also need your help.  Visit the candidate page on our website to connect with our candidates.  If you have an idea and are ready to champion it, bring it forward. Check the events listings (calendar) on the website and attend the meetings. If you want to help activate your precinct, contact us. If you have ever considered running for office, contact us.  We have resources to help get candidates started.

In solidarity,

Angie
